Teri Johnston was elected as city mayor in 2018. She is the second woman to serve as mayor of Key West in 192 years. She served as City Commissioner in Key West for eight years before running for mayor. Teri hit the ground running after being sworn into office with major revitalization plans for Key West’s business corridor, a focused plan to harden Key West from future weather events, improving near shore water quality and infrastructure including sidewalks, streets and safe bicycle lanes. She has revitalized the Strategic Planning process to bring new direction to the Community and has been proud to accomplish these initiatives working closely with the residents of Key West.
